6th Grade — 12th Grade

Junior/Senior High, preparing for the future.

At Cornerstone Christian Academy, our Upper School (junior and senior high) is a place where the process of entering adolescence is carefully nurtured and each student develops and grows in their academic work and faith. Our low teacher-to-student ratio fosters relationships that enhance the development of intellectual skills and Christian character.

Foundational truths, heart-centered instruction, and a nurturing environment which fosters positive relationships.

JUNIOR HIGH OVERVIEW

For many students, the junior high years are marked by a time of developing independence and social relationships.  Students are discovering their own strengths, talents and interests. At Cornerstone Christian Academy, junior high is a place where the process of entering adolescence is carefully nurtured.

Students in grades six through eight change from class to class for each subject.  Course offerings prepare them for CCA’s college preparatory high school curriculum.  A full range of extracurricular activities – sports, fine arts, Scholastic Bowl, musicals and more – are available.

CCA is a positive influence for students during this time of their lives.  Since class sizes are limited, your child’s individual progress, concerns and successes are easily tracked by the faculty and administration, and will be communicated to you frequently.

All junior high students continue to grow in an understanding of God’s Word and His truth, which will provide guidance for the rest of their lives.  This is accomplished through our Chapel programs and age-appropriate Bible curriculum.

Junior high is a great time for your student to come to Cornerstone!  Call to arrange a school tour, and we can match up your student with a CCA student in his or her grade level to be hosted for a shadow day.

HIGH SCHOOL overview

Cornerstone Christian Academy’s high school is a place where students will encounter academic achievement, personal growth, athletic and fine arts accomplishments, and the pursuit of individual interests.  Our low teacher-to-student ratio fosters relationships that enhance the development of intellectual skills and Christian character.

The ultimate goal of CCA is to prepare students to make an impact on the world for the glory of Christ.  At CCA, your high school student will be challenged to academic excellence, a commitment to intellectual development and curiosity, and a desire to represent Christ in his or her daily life.

The Upper School Chapel program, Bible curriculum and Spiritual Formation Groups help students grow in an understanding of God’s Word and His truth, which will provide guidance for the rest of their lives.

You may discover that the basic philosophies of learning are different at CCA.  Some of these differences may be about theories of creation and evolution, expectations of how people act and treat each other, how we see evil in the world, or how God relates to us personally and to our world.  Our goal is to help students develop a biblical worldview.

CCA is a positive influence for students during this time of their lives.  Since class sizes are small, your student’s individual progress, concerns, and successes are important to our faculty and administration.  We strive to build strong partnerships between home and school.
